The first of its kind in the country, the annual Youth Speaks Teen Poetry Slam is an Olympic-style poetry event, and is the largest local slam for any age in the country. The 11th annual teen poetry slam sold out all performances at Intersection for the Arts, La Peña Cultural center, ODC Theater, and the beautiful and historic Herbst Theater. This year, the 12th annual slam will be bigger than ever, stepping up to the San Francisco Opera House for the Grand Slam Finals. Hundreds of teenagers from all over the Bay Area come out to slam each year and thousands out to watch them bust. See the dates here
